Investigation Under Way After Pride Month Balloons Removed From Fairfield County Bridge Police in Fairfield County are investigating after balloons hung to celebrate Pride Month were removed from an area bridge. Westport Police said they responded to the Ruth Steinkraus Memorial Bridge on Friday, June 11, for a report of possible vandalism.  The complainant stated that as he was driving across the bridge, he noticed that several of the colorful rainbow balloons placed on the bridge lights had been removed, said Westport PD Lt.
