Norwalk Man Nabbed With Gun Following Shots Fired Incident, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with criminal possession of a firearm for allegedly firing shots during a disturbance with people in the area. Jose Geovany Merino-Mejia, age 45, of Norwalk, was charged on Friday, Nov. 3 for the incident that took place on Saturday, Oct. 28 in the area of Lexington Avenue. A Ruger .45 caliber handgun was recovered during the arrest. The incident took place in Stamford on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the area of Main and Clinton Avenues. According to Assistant Chief of the Stamford Police Richard Conklin, detectives conducted a firearm investigation into Jermell “Polo” Sims, age 43, of Stamford, who was in possession of an illegal firearm. CT Man Sentenced For Drug Distribution, Firearm Possession A Connecticut man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for narcotics distribution and firearm possession offenses. Kendall Jones, age 32, of Hartford, was sentenced on Tuesday, Sept. 28, after pleading guilty to the crimes in April, said Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
