New Marriage Rules After Rise In Those Tying Knot At Bridgeport City Hall With a large increase in the number of people looking to get married at a Fairfield County city hall, city officials have changed the rules. Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim announced on Monday, April 1 a new set of rules for weddings, and those obtaining marriage licenses beginning Monday, April 15.
