Here's When New Bridge Replacement Project Will Start On I-95 In Fairfield County The replacement of a bridge over I-95 will necessitate a long-term detour and cost nearly $1,500,000, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.  The overpass bridge in Westport on Beachside Avenue will be closed to traffic from approximately Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 until September, 2021, according to project manager Louis Eveno.  The multi steel girder bridge slated for replacement was built in 1958, and has reportedly deteriorated over time. Woman Charged With DUI After Two-Car Crash In Westport The investigation into a fender bender led to the arrest of a woman in Fairfield County who was allegedly drinking and driving before rear ending another vehicle, police said. Officers from the Westport Police Department received a report of a crash involving two vehicles at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 near the intersection of Green Farms Road and New Creek Road.
