CT Firefighters Help Surgeon Remove Meat Grinder From Woman's Hand Connecticut firefighters helped surgeons in the operating room remove a meat grinder stuck on a woman's hand, The incident began in New Haven County around 4 p.m. Saturday, March 19 in Naugatuck when a person whose hand was stuck in a meat grinder was transported to Waterbury Hospital, the department said. The patient was then transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital for removal of the grinder around 5:45 p.m., officials said.
