Man Nabbed In Connection With Alleged Theft Of Four Personal Watercraft, Newtown Police Say A 31-year-old area man turned himself in to police after learning he was wanted on a warrant in connection for allegedly stealing four personal watercraft earlier this year. Jerrysan Rohena, 31, of Waterbury, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, for the alleged thefts of the four vehicles worth more than $50,000, said the Newtown Police. The thefts were in September and October of this year along Lake Lillinonah, Lake Zoar, police said. After the thefts, a long investigation led to Rohena, who was charged with four counts of larceny, which is a felony. He was processed and released on a $…

Deer Rescued After Getting Stuck On Lake Zoar Firefighters helped save a life on Sunday, of a deer, stuck on the ice. The incident took place around 11 a.m. when members of the Stevenson department received a call about a deer stuck on the ice on Lake Zoar in Monroe, the fire department said on Facebook. The deer, who was about 500 feet out, or halfway across the lake when rescuers arrived on the scene, had fallen and could not get back up after trying repeatedly.
