Newly Named White House Press Secretary Is Native Of Stamford A Fairfield County native has been named to serve as President-elect Joe Biden’s White House press secretary. Stamford native Jen Psaki (pronounced Saki) was named to an all-female communication's staff by Biden on Sunday, Nov. 29. Psaki, a 1996 Greenwich High School graduate, currently oversees the confirmations team for the Biden-Harris transition, the president-elect said in a news release. Clinton, a Chappaqua native, narrowly edged out former Vice President Joe Biden, earning 21 percent of the Democrats’ support in a Harvard-Harris national poll released last week.
