One Dead, Several Seriously Injured After Car Runs Stop Sign At Busy Intersection, Police Say One person was killed and numerous people injured in a two-vehicle early morning crash when a speeding vehicle ran a stop sign. The crash took place in Fairfield County around 2:03 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, at the intersection of Brooks and Jane streets in Bridgeport. According to police,  the crash involved a dark gray Honda Accord that was traveling northbound on Brooks Street at a high rate of speed, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran. ID Released For Man Shot, Killed In Bridgeport A man found shot and killed in Bridgeport has been identified by police. Philip Ingram, 57, of Bridgeport, became the city's third homicide victim of the year when he was shot around 9:10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management. Gun Recovered, Two In Custody After Shots Fired Near Police In Bridgeport Two men are under arrest after one shot at a Bridgeport Police officer who attempted to break-up a dispute, according to Bridgeport Police. The incident took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday when two Bridgeport police officers were on a road job when one of the officers was shot at when he approached two men in a dispute near Jane Street and Kossuth Street, according to Av Harris, spokesman for the police department.
