A man out on bail for allegedly shooting his ex-wife to death and attempting to kill his stepson was found dead in a storage container after a standoff with Fairfield Police. The son of a Fairfield man accused of killing his ex-wife earlier this year has been released after his son posted a $2 million bond. Following a hearing this week in Bridgeport Superior Court, a judge allowed James Taylor, 75, to be released from custody under the condition that he lives with his son Chris Taylor, a member of the Bridgeport Board of Education. A woman who was allegedly shot and killed by her ex-husband has been identified by Fairfield Police. Catherine Taylor, 70, of Redding Road in Fairfield, was killed by her ex-husband, James Taylor, 76, also of Fairfield, around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, said Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras.
