Man Attacked With Machete In Bridgeport A 26-year-old Fairfield County man is reported to be in stable condition with severe lacerations to his head and face after being attacked with a machete. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8 p.m., Sunday, May 28 at Seaside Park, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police. When officers arrived on the scenem they found the Bridgeport resident suffering from a serious physical injury to the face. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was admitted.   The incident occurred along Waldemere Avenue at the “Diamond 10” baseball field in Seaside Park, Gilleran said.…

Armed, Dangerous Man Wanted For Broad Daylight Shooting In Bridgeport Police in Bridgeport are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent assault.  Tomas Elias LaPorte, age 48, of Bridgeport is wanted for the Wednesday, March 8 broad daylight attack of a man at the intersection of State Street & Iranistan Avenue, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police. Police officers responded to the area and located a 52-year-old Bridgeport man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, Gilleran said. Officers from the Bridgeport Police Department responded to the intersection of Iranistan Avenue and Hanover Street early in the morning on Sunday, Aug. 30, where there was a report of a man who had been shot, Bridgeport Police said. Man Found Shot To Death While Driving Vehicle In Fairfield County A man was shot to death while driving his vehicle in Fairfield County. The victim was discovered around 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, when police responded to a report of gunshots fired near 644 Norman Street. Responding officers located a motor vehicle accident in front of 178 Wood Ave., Bridgeport PD Captain Brian Fitzgerald said.
