Wegmans Recalls Lemons, Oranges, Some In-Store Produced Seafood, Restaurant Foods
Wegmans, which just opened a new location in the area, announced that it is recalling some fruit, and in-store produced seafood and restaurant items due to concerns of contamination.
Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. announced it is recalling its four-pound bags of Valencia Oranges, two-pound bags of lemons, bulk lemons, and a variety of in-store produced seafood and restaurant foods items that contain fresh lemon because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Covid-19: Wegmans Sets Opening Date For New Store In Area Off I-287
After having its June opening delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the latest Wegmans supermarket has now set a new grand opening date.
Wegmans will officially open its first Westchester location at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5 on Corporate Park Drive near I-287, I-684 and the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison.

A 41-year-old highway construction worker who was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck on I-684 has been identified, along with the motorist.
The incident took place in Putnam County around 3:07 p.m., Monday, May 11, northbound on the highway in the town of Southeast, according to the New York State Police.
An initial investigation found that Richard N. Russo, 48, of North Salem, was northbound in the right lane driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a worker contracted by the New York State Department of Transportation, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
