Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home In Norwalk Nine people were left homeless following a fire that destroyed a multi-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire took place in Norwalk around 10:10 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 43 Lexington Ave. The fire started in the bedroom of the home and quickly spread to floors above, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Shay. There were nine occupants at home at the time of the fire and all escaped without injury, Shay said. The Norwalk Fire Department responded to the fire around 3:46 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 4 Bayberry Lane, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott. Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Danbury Home Danbury firefighters responded to an early morning kitchen fire that caused extensive damage before it was extinguished by the homeowner. The fire started around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Woodbury Lane, said the department's Communications Director James Gagliardo.
