Possible Darien Home Burglary Under Investigation Detectives in Fairfiefld County are investigating a possible home burglary after the resident found items disturbed. The incident occurred in Darien on Friday, at a multi-family residence on West Avenue. According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, the resident told officers she found the blood-like substance in the bathroom and disturbed items after returning from work. The residence was unoccupied with the door unlocked; however, no items were reported missing, Vigil said.  The case remains under investigation by the Darien Detective Division.

The incident took place around 3 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, when Stamford Police received a call of people struggling with a person who had entered their home in the area of Liberty Street. Police are the public for help in identifying a man who might be involved with a home burglary that took place last week. The man was photographed on surveillance around 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, near Barnum and Broadbridge avenues in Stratford.  He was wearing white pants, glasses, a winter hat and was carrying what appears to be some type of backpack on his back.  Stratford Police said he appears to be a painter or taper. New Canaan Home Burglarized While Family Away On Vacation, Police Say Following a home burglary in New Canaan in which the family was away on vacation, police are asking residents to be sure and secure their residences. The burglary was discovered around 10:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at a home on Route 106 (Silvermine Road) when the family returned from vacation and found they had been the target of thieves, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
