Nikia Rankins, age 27, of Hartford, died on Friday, July 1 from injuries incurred during the incident on Sunday, June 19. Rankins was found shot when police responded to a report of gunfire at a multi-family home on Franklin Avenue and located three unresponsive victims with gunshot wounds, said Lt. The incident took place in New Haven County around 11 p.m., Tuesday, March 8 at Bowlero located at 1717 Boston Post Road, in Milford. When officers responded they recovered multiple shell casings from outside of the business, and the bullet hole in a vehicle that belongs to a Milford PD officer who works at the business during his off-hours, said the Milford Police. At about 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, two drivers stopped at separate locations to report that their vehicles had been damaged while they were traveling on Interstate 91 south Middlesex County, near Exit 20 in Middletown, Connecticut State Police said. Richard Ortiz, age 44, and Anthony Terrence Pooser, age 36, both of Meriden, were arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 13, after Meriden police responded to a call for shots fired.
