Stamford Resident Critically Injured After Being Hit By SUV, Police Say A 41-year-old is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV while crossing a roadway in Fairfield County. The crash took place around 10:55 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, in the area of 162 Grove St., in Stamford, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth. According to Booth, a 2005 Dodge Durango, being driven by a 35-year-old Stamford resident, was traveling southbound on Grove Street when it struck the person. The fire started around 3 p.m., Monday, March 2, at 180 Board St., at the Parc Grove West complex in Stamford, police said. The department said that Broad Street is closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area of Greyrock, Franklin and Grove Street until further notice. At approximately 3:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, the 911 dispatch center received a call reporting smoke coming from the roof of the building near Forest and Grove streets, the Stamford Fire Department said. The first arriving engine reported heavy smoke and fire visible on the top floor of the condominium unit at 104 Forest St. The fire was quickly upgraded to a second alarm. Three Drunk Drivers Nabbed In One Night In Stamford, Police Say Stamford Police had a busy night Friday arresting three driving for operating under the influence within six hours, including two at the same location.The action began around 9:45 p.m. when working with the OUI team, Capt.
