Teen Charged In Attack On Mentally Disabled Man, Bridgeport Police Say A 15-year-old teen has been charged with assaulting a mentally-disabled man following the shooting death of another teen. The unprovoked attack took place on Sunday, Jan. 26, immediately after the shooting and homicide on Highland Avenue in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. The 67-year-old man sustained serious physical injuries to his face and head, Fitzgerald said. Teen Killed, 21-Year-Old Wounded In Shooting At Apartment Complex, Bridgeport Police Say An 18-year-old was shot and killed and another man injured during a shooting at a Bridgeport apartment complex. Bridgeport Police were notified of a shooting by the Shot-Spotter around 5:37 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, on Highland Avenue, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. Officers responded to the scene and located a man down on Highland Avenue adjacent to building No. 5 of Greene Homes, and a second victim down inside the Greene Homes complex, Fitzgerald said. Woman Shot At Bridgeport Housing Complex Woman Shot At Bridgeport Housing Complex
Woman Shot At Bridgeport Housing Complex Police are investigating the shooting of a woman at an area apartment complex. The Bridgeport Police Department said that the incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Greene Homes apartments. The women reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.  An investigation is underway.

ID Released For 22-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Bridgeport On July 4th Police have identified a man who was shot to death July 4th in Bridgeport as a local resident. Richard McDonald, 22, was shot in the Greene Homes housing project, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. McDonald, who had recently been released from prison on drug charges, was the city's 10th homicide of the year. Police did not release additional information on the case, including whether it was drug-related. McDonald was sentenced to four years in prison after being busted for selling drugs in April 2016, court records show.
