Florida Man Nabbed In New Canaan For Drunk Driving, Police Say An out-of-state man is facing a charge of drunk driving after he allegedly blew through a stop sign on a Connecticut road. The Fairfield County incident happened on Tuesday, June 18 in the town of New Canaan. Just after midnight, 40-year-old Carlos Manuel Fernandez was driving north on White Oak Shade Road when he reportedly accelerated through a stop sign near the intersection at Gerdes Road. Dispute Between Stamford Man, Girlfriend's Son Gets Physical, Police Say A teen and his mother's 48-year-old boyfriend were arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with each other in New Canaan, police said. The dispute between Todd Givens of Stamford and the unidentified 16-year-old teen took place around 8:30 p.m. Friday on Gerdes Road, said the New Canaan Police Department.
