Covid-19: Bridgeport School District, Largest In Connecticut, Shifts To Remote Learning In the midst of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the largest school district in Connecticut has announced they will revert to all remote learning as of Monday, Nov. 23. Bridgeport Schools Superintendent Michael Testani said on Thursday, Nov., 12, that although it was his desire to keep schools open, health and safety needed to come first. Covid-19: CT Moves Forward With Fall Sports, But Other Extracurricular Activities On Hold When Connecticut schools open in the fall, districts will be moving forward with sports, despite COVID-19 concerns, though some other extra-curricular activities will be on hold. After reviewing recommendations from various committees that oversee high school sports, the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) announced this week that it will allow the fall sports season to move forward.
