CT Teen Undergoes Emergency Surgery In Third Shooting In 3 Days A 17-year-old Connecticut boy is recuperating after undergoing emergency surgery following a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. It was the third shooting in New Haven this week, police said.  Officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 5:45 p.m. near Sherman and Edgewood Avenues, where they found the boy suffering from a bullet wound, New Haven police said.  Paramedics rushed the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life. Man Accidentally Shoots Himself Behind Popular Restaurant In Fairfield A man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest in the rear of a popular Fairfield County restaurant. Fairfield Police found the unidentified man around 9:07 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a 911 call from an employee at Wings Over Fairfield, 2075 Black Rock Turnpike, reporting that a man was shot in the back of the building, said Lt. Robert Kalamaras.
