Person Seriously Injured After Crash At Fairfield County Intersection One person was seriously injured during a two-vehicle crash in Fairfield County. It happened in Bridgeport around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30 at East and Barnum avenues. Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, said the crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle, with the motorcyclist injured. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital with an unknown extent of injuries, Appleby said. The crash is currently under investigation.  Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

One Critically Injured After Two Men Are Shot In Bridgeport Two men were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after being shot in Bridgeport. Police said the two men were hit around 9 p.m. Thursday, July 4 near the intersection of Barnum and East avenues, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Both men, who were hit in the lower extremities, were taken to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle, Jones said. Jones said one man is listed in critical, but stable condition, and the other man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No further information was available.

Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By Lexus In Residential Neighborhood Of Bridgeport A man is clinging to life after being hit by a car in a residential neighborhood. Anthony Johnson, 31, of Bridgeport, was standing at 140 East Avenue in Bridgeport when he was struck by a black Lexus around 12:45 a.m. Friday, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. After being hit, the car carried Johnson a short distance and before he was dropped on the roadway, Harris said. The driver of the Lexus stopped and immediately called 911. Johnson is listed in grave condition with a fractured right hip and severe facial trauma at Bridgeport Hospital, Harris said. A fie…

Man Hospitalized In Overnight Bridgeport Stabbing An unidentified victim was hospitalized after a reported stabbing that took place overnight in Bridgeport. The incident occurred around 12:27 a.m. Sunday near the Mini-Market at the intersection of Barnum Avenue and East Avenue, said Av Harris, Director of Legislative Affairs/Public Policy for the City of Bridgeport.
