CT State Police Trooper Struck By Wrong-Way Driver In Head-On Crash A Connecticut State Police trooper was struck by a wrong-way driver in a head-on crash overnight. It happened in Middlesex County just after 4 a.m. Saturday, April 16 on southbound Route 9 in the area of Exit 19 in Cromwell. The assigned state police cruiser crashed with the wrong-way vehicle, a 2016 Honda Accord, as it was traveling northbound in the left lane of the southbound side.  The driver of the Honda, identified as Guy Raffles of Meriden, age 65, stated he was not injured and was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed to pe…
