Drop Off Unused, Unwanted Medication In Stamford With an opioid epidemic crippling many across the country, Stamford health and law enforcement officials are encouraging residents to get rid of old or unused medicine during the annual "Drug Take-Back Day" event on Saturday. The event, which is a free anonymous and environmentally safe way to dispose of unwanted and unused medications, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stamford Police Department, 805 Bedford St. Those taking part won't even have to get out of their vehicle by using a convenient drive-thru box. No liquids or needles will be accepted.

Drug Take Back Day Scheduled For Westport The Westport Police Department, in cooperation with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will be participating in another nationwide “Drug Take Back Day” on Saturday, April 28 to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from homes.  Police officers will be at the Westport Weston Health District, 180 Bayberry Lane, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. so residents can bring expired, unused or unwanted medications for disposal.
