Strong Storms With Heavy Rain, Lightning, Gusty Winds Moving Through Area Scattered showers and thunderstorms are sweeping through the area late Tuesday afternoon and will continue through the evening. The isolated storms are moving from the west to the east. (See radar image above.) Some of the storms will have brief periods of heavy rain, winds gusts up to 40 miles per hour and lightning.
