Officers In Westport Attacked By Man Drinking Fuel Additive, Police Say A Connecticut man who was found walking down the middle of a street drinking liquid fuel additive has been arrested for allegedly attacking and injuring police officers. The incident took place in Westport on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, when police responded to the area of Center Street on a report of an individual, acting erratically and drinking motor oil.  Responding officers Cameron Baker, age 20, of New Haven, walking in the middle of Center Street and attempted to engage him in conversation. Crash Causes Gridlock On I-95 Stretch This story has been updated. There was gridlock on a stretch of I-95 early Monday evening after a crash that initially blocked the left lane. The incident occurred on the southbound side between Center Street (Exit 19) in Westport and Sherwood Island (Exit 18). There was stopped traffic at the scene of the crash and stop-and-go delays of up to a half hour to Black Rock Turnpike (Exit 24) in Fairfield until the lane reopened around 7 p.m. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
