Stamford Woman Charged With DUI After Fleeing Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Connecticut woman is facing misdemeanor charges after police said she drove under the influence and hit another vehicle. Officers in Fairfield County responded to the crash just after 9 p.m. on Friday, July 2 in Darien at Center Street and Post Road. Darien Police said a vehicle pulled into the roadway from a private drive and hit another vehicle before driving away. Stamford Man Waiting For Uber Fights With Darien Cops Investigation Incident, Police Say A Stamford man has been charged with assault after police say he fought with officers while waiting for a Uber. Darien Police say they responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Center Street on Sunday, Sept. 22 around 2:45 a.m. The victim allegedly told police that he had been pushed, punched and choked by the suspect.
