Man Asleep At Green Light In Darien Charged With DUI, Police Say A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly driving under the influence after police allegedly found him asleep in the driver's seat at a green light. Herman Cole III, age 31, of Shelton, was charged on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the intersection of Hoyt Street and Camp Avenue in Darien. Sgt. Stamford Man Admits To Drinking, Driving During Stop In Darien Multiple traffic violations led to the arrest of a 28-year-old driver who admitted to being drunk when he was pulled over by a patrol officer in Fairfield County, police said. An officer from the Darien Police Department reported that shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, a driver was spotted failing to fully stop at a stop sign at the intersection at Middlesex Road and Hoyt Street.
