Former Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy is taking his talents north in New England, going from the State Capitol in Hartford to Boston College Law School and now to the University of Maine. The University of Maine System Board of Trustees unanimously voted to appoint Malloy as the next Chancellor, replacing James Page, who will retire effective as of June 30. One of the candidates for governor of Connecticut is enjoying his largest lead to date, according to the latest public opinion poll. Election Day is Nov. 6 for the seat being vacated by two-term Gov. Dannel P. Malloy. Back To School: Outgoing CT Gov. Malloy To Teach At Boston College
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be returning to college after his gubernatorial term ends as a visiting professor at Boston College Law School. Malloy, a Democrat, has served as governor since 2011. He announced in April 2017 that he would not seek a third term, setting up the Nov. 6 election between Democrat Ned Lamont and Republican Bob Stefanowski.
