Police Seeking Help After Woman Found On Roadway With Serious Injuries In Bridgeport Police are asking the public for help identifying a vehicle that may have hit a woman found lying on the ground at an intersection in Fairfield County with serious injuries. Bridgeport Police received several calls around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14 regarding a woman lying at the intersection of Stratford Avenue and Bishop Avenue. The 54-year-old Bridgeport resident was found lying on the ground at the intersection, said Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police. 30-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Bridgeport A 30-year-old man was found shot to death after police received a report of a shooting in Bridgeport. The shooting took place around 1:34 a.m., Monday, June 24, at 684 Bishop Ave., said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. When officers arrived at the scene they found the man in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, Jones said.  The victim died on the scene, he added. Kenyon Gay, 41, of Bridgeport and West Haven, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 15, for the stabbing death of a 39-year-old local man following a dispute, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police.
