Hazardous Materials Found Inside Burning Home In Pound Ridge While fighting a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence, firefighters had to quickly evacuate the building after finding hazardous materials inside.  The fire happened on Sunday, Aug. 13 around 8:15 a.m., when firefighters from numerous departments responded to a home in Pound Ridge on Salem Road (Route 124) that had ignited.  According to the Bedford Hills Fire Department, arriving crews found heavy flames coming out of the two-story wood-frame building. ID Released For 22-Year-Old Pound Ridge Man Killed In Head-On Crash A man killed in a head-on crash in Northern Westchester has been identified. Diego Trejo, 22, of Pound Ridge, was killed around 9:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, on South Bedford Road, said Bedford Police Lt. Andrew Bellantone. According to Bellantone, a preliminary investigation found that a 2018 BMW 750I traveling eastbound collided head-on with Trejo's 2004 Acura TSX sedan traveling westbound.  Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said. A third formal search was conducted for John A. Vasile late Wednesday morning, police said, and Vasile was located - conscious and alert - within the Bedford Village hamlet.
