Garage Damaged By Fire In Milford
A garage was partially destroyed by fire after the homeowner disposed of ashes from a wood-burning stove into a plastic recycling bin. The fire took place around 12:42 p.m. Monday at 169 Yale Ave., Milford, according to Milford Fire Department Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi. The first arriving firefighters found active fire extending up the exterior walls of the structure. Fire crews deployed a hose line and quickly extinguished the blaze, Fabrizi said. Fire Damages Popular Downtown Restaurant In Milford
A popular downtown restaurant was severely damaged in a late Sunday night fire. Dispatchers received a 911 call at approximately 8:56 p.m. reporting a fire inside of Flames Mediterranean Grill located at 12 Daniel St. in Milford. The caller was an employee of a neighboring restaurant and discovered the fire after someone reported an odor of smoke in the area, said Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi of Milford Fire Rescue. Fire Damages Popular Landmark Milford Restaurant
A popular landmark Milford restaurant was severely damaged by fire late Halloween evening. Fire dispatchers received notification of an automatic fire alarm coming from Scribner's Restaurant, 31 Village Road in the Woodmont section of Milford, said Milford Fire Department Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi.
