I-691 Lane Reopens Following Single-Vehicle Crash Down Embankment This story has been updated. The right lane of I-691 has reopened following a crash that left one person with serious injuries. Connecticut State Police said the incident took place around 8:57 a.m. Tuesday, southbound near Exit 5 in the town of Meriden. The crash occurred when the driver, identified as Alexander Tenore, of Waterbury, lost control, hit a wire guardrail and ended up 60-feet down an embankment, state police said. The Meriden Fire Department arrived and extricated Tenore from the vehicle. Tenore was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with serious injuries, troopers…
