Young Football Players Show Pink Power

STAMFORD, Conn. – Young football players in the Stamford Youth Foundation league showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month during games last week. Players for the Huskies wore pink jerseys provided by team mom Patty LeFort.

The Stamford Youth Foundation also raised funds to support Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center during the Mighty Mite, elementary and middle school games last week.

The money goes directly to the Bennett Cancer Center, providing over 1,200 new patients and their families with a variety of programs, including clinical trials and cancer research, exercise and nutrition program information, patient support services, patient transportation, integrative medicine, genetic counseling and a lung cancer program.
