Westhill JV Baseball Wins 3rd Straight

Westhill High School's junior varsity baseball team defeated Trinity Catholic, 11-3, on Thursday for its third straight victory. The win improved Westhill's record to 7-3-1.

Peter Dawson gave up two earned runs, scattered six hits and struck out three in seven innings. Ryan Duggan led the offense with a double, a single, two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base.

Westhill's defense also excelled behind Dawson. Shortstop Billy Murphy and second baseman Ryan Duggan were especially sharp, and center fielder Sean Remondino made a couple of great diving catches to take hits away from Trinity batters.

Westhill meets St. Joseph on Friday at Rippowam at 4, and plays Trumbull on Monday at 4 at Rippowam.
