Westhill Girl Wins Freshmen Race at Wilton Meet

STAMFORD, Conn. – Westhill's Alison Ambrosecchio won the freshmen race Saturday at the Wilton Invitational in Allen's Meadow.

Ambrosecchio finished the 1.5-mile course in 9:24, pulling away from Greenwich's Jennifer Grogin in the final stages to win by 12 seconds. Bethel's Halle Valenti finished third.

Ambrosecchio was the lone competitor from Westhill. She beat a field that included 61 runners. Complete results are available on clubct.org
