The NHL's championship trophy hopped on a train in Grand Central Terminal and rode up to Stamford where NBC Sports is headquartered in anticipation of the start of the NHL playoffs on Wednesday night.
New York Rangers legend Mike Richter joined the cup along with MTA President Joseph Giulietti in Grand Central for the start of the Cup's journey.
Stanley Cup handler Mike Bolt stayed with the cup for its ride up the New Haven Line.
The playoffs begin at 7 p.m. when the Rangers and Montreal Canadiens face off in Game 1.
