Girls ages 14 to 18 will be able to choose a sport, basketball, ice hockey, soccer, tennis or volleyball, and participate in two training sessions each day, a release from Chelsea Piers said. One of the sessions will be based on leadership and the other on athlete development, the release said.
The goal of the camp is to help the athletes gain new perspectives on their athletic careers and leadership abilities they could use in other areas of life, the release said.
“We are confident that this camp will prove to be the most dynamic sports camp you or your athlete has ever experienced," Mollie Marcoux, executive director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut, said in the release.
The camp would also include health and nutrition tips, and college and prep school recruiting advice, the release said.
