STAMFORD, Conn. - Friday evening's cross-city rivalry game on the gridiron between Stamford High and Trinity Catholic will be coming to a television near you. MSG Varsity will be taping the matchup between the Black Knights and the Crusaders at Stamford High School on Friday at 6 p.m. The game will air on MSG Varsity (Cablevision iO Ch. 14) on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.
Stamford High (2-2) is coming off a much-needed 34-0 win over winless St. Joseph. The Black Knights entered the season with high expectations, but stumbled against Norwalk and Ridgefield.
Trinity Catholic (2-2), meanwhile, is still reeling from the loss of its lead running back, Shaquan Howsie, to a season-ending knee injury. The Crusaders also struggled against upstart Norwalk. Now, one team will go back over .500 and be a step closer to the annual city championship.
