Springdale Little League Results

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Results from recent games in Springdale Little League.

Boot Camp 7, RMS 1: Boot Camp increased its season-opening unbeaten streak to five with a 7-1 victory over RMS Construction. Austin Byrnes starred on the mound for Boot Camp, striking out six in three-plus innings. Robert Smeriglio, Mark Lombardo and Evan Field collected multiple hits for the first-place team. Anthony Karwaski, Erik Bannister and Isaac Cadigan had two hits each from RMS. Carpentry 17, Instant Replay 7 – Matt Tiplady’s three hits, including a double, led Carpentry Unlimited to a 17-7 victory over Instant Replay.  Pete Johnson, Nick Chuckas (double) and Patrick Teasdale added two hits apiece as Carpentry improved its record to 3-2. Henry Carucci, Matt Rubino and Jack Hoch also had key hits for Carpentry while Joe Johnson made an outstanding defensive play with the bases loaded to help preserve the lead. Matt Jester clubbed two doubles en route to a four-for-four day at the plate for Instant Replay. Sterling Gregg collected three hits, Jaden Dawkins had two doubles and Tyler Tuccinardi added a hit.

Clairol 9, Abercrombie 4 – Clairol came from behind with six runs in the bottom of the fifth to collect its first win of the season, defeating Abercrombie, Burns, McKiernan & Co. Insurance 9-4. Joey Price and Jelani Jackson each had two hits for Clairol (1-4) while rookie Calvin McKeever drove in three runs, including two on a single in the fifth that gave Clairol the lead. Rookies Frank Gentile and Jay Daniel contributed to the rally. Ben Servedio picked up the win in relief. A.J. Rakoczy, John Fahan and Matt Eldredge collected big hits for Abercrombie (2-3) while Andrea O’Connor held Clairol at bay from the mound for the first half of the game. Boot Camp 10, RMS 9: Boot Camp edged past RMS Construction 10-9 to run its undefeated season to 6-0. Austin Byrnes led the victors with three hits and three RBIs. Rookie Ben Nash smacked three hits while driving in two and scoring two runs. Ryan Lionetti added two more hits and two RBIs for Boot Camp. Todd Guttman collected four hits, including a double and an inside-the-park homer, while playing a flawless shortstop for RMS, which fell to 3-3 on the season. Isaac Cadigan had two hits while Justin Palmer and Javier Peters each had a hit. Rookie Jay Nieves added a double while Drew Papp and Anthony Karwaski each had a hit. Erik Bannister had a gutty outing on the mound for RMS. Carpentry 10, Instant Replay 0 – Nick Chuckas gave up just one hit and struck out 10 in five innings on the mound as Carpentry Unlimited shut out Instant Replay 10-0. Matt Rubino nailed four hits (one a double), Matt Doyle had three and Chuckas, Patrick Teasdale, Jack Hoch and Pete Johnson chipped in with two apiece in the victory that raised Carpentry’s into sole possession of second place with a 4-2 record. R.J. Salvatore aided his team with strong defense. Mike Smolak and rookie Anthony Lueck had hits for Instant Replay (1-5). Clairol 20, Abercrombie 6 – A grand slam over the left centerfield fence by 10-year-old Calvin McKeever served as the highlight of 15 hits Clairol belted in a 20-6 victory over Abercrombie, Burns, McKenzie & Co Insurance. McKeever added a single and base-loaded walk to drive in six runs. Jelani Jackson smashed a double and four singles in the victory for Clairol. Joey Price, Chris Price and David Marciczkiewicz had two hits each while rookies Frank Gentile and Connor Robb drove in two runs apiece. Abercrombie (2-4) had hits from Adrian Nunez (two runs), John Fahan (two RBIs), Matt Eldredge, Sebastian DeLos Santos, Matt O’Connor and John Nunez. AAA Division Mulberry Landscaping 12, P2 Telecom 9 – A grand slam by Kyle Morrell, a bases-clearing single from Aidan Nestor and homer by Wesley Gonzalez helped Mulberry Landscaping mow down P2 Telecom 12-9. Nestor, Morrell and Ameer Theodore shared the pitching duties in the win. Harold Alvarez's three-run triple, an RBI double by Mike Iorfino, and a three-hit, three-RBI night from Jake Smith paced the P2 offense. Solid defense from Stevie Garst and Ayden Molina as well as great catching from Andrew Patashnik kept P2 close.

U.S. Computer 14, OneVac 2 – Connor Sullivan drove in seven runs -- four on a grand slam, three on a triple -- to power U.S. Computer Corp. over OneVac. Chase Senecal added a solo homer and a double for U.S. Computer while John Ryan Dowling and Joe Malozzi had multi-hit games. Rodney Louis, Oliver Anderes and James Fahan also contributed with their bats while Hannah Chuckas scored two runs. Aiden Neigler did well in his mound debut.  Kyle Bancroft continue to swing a hot bat for OneVac, going two-for-two with a double. He also provided some nifty work at shortstop. Nick Valenzano, Anthony Lowe and Daniel Vetti knocked singles from OneVac. U.S. Computer 14, P2 Telecom 13 – Connor Sullivan led U.S. Computer on the hill and at plate in a 14-13 win over P2 Telecom. In addition to two-plus innings pitching, Sullivan collected three hits and scored three runs. Chase Senecal added three hits and Miles Leslie a pair. James Fahan and Avery Mui provided power with a two-RBI triple and double, respectively. P2 rallied with nine runs in the fifth but fell just shy. Harold Alvarez hit a three-run triple, his fourth straight game with a triple or homer, while Erick Huyhua added a three-run double. Seth Patchett pitched 1-2-3 third. Lucas Giantomidis and Dhruv Rokkam made some fine defensive stops for P2.

Mulberry Landscaping 16, OneVac 5 - Wesley Gonzalez’s three-for-three performance, including a home run, led Mulberry Landscaping to a 16-5 victory over OneVac. Danny Maloney, Alex Lanzillotti, Ameer Theodore, Christopher Bawden, and Brandan Valez each had two hits for Mulberry.  For OneVac, Leonora Lipson tripled and scored twice, Kyle Bancroft tripled and scored once, Andrew Buchkowski and Andrew Hodel each singled and scored once.
