FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. High school football fans who want to follow county teams in Saturday's state semifinal games will have to pick a destination Saturday. Three teams from the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference have reached the semifinals, and all the games are scheduled for 2 p.m. kickoffs.
In Class LL, No. 5 Norwalk meets No. 1 Xavier at West Haven High School. No. 2 Staples meets No. 6 Newtown at Bunnell High School in Stratford. No. 5 New Canaan, which traveled to New London for the quarterfinals, has another long haul to East Haven to play No. 1 Windsor.
The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference released the times and sites on Wednesday morning. The complete schedule for all four divisions is available on its website.
