Parents and their children teamed up for a day of tennis and family fun at Shippan Racquet Club. The Stamford-based club hosted the 12-and-under tournament in the annual New Haven Open Family Classic this past weekend.
Terry McGrath teamed with his dad, Lawrence, to win the tournament with 22 points. Wassim Diouri and his father Paul came in a close second with 19 points.
Terry and Lawrence now go forward to play in the Regional Tournament at Yale on Sunday, July 24, in the Parent and Child events.
