Rain Forces Ruth Team to Wait

The Stamford 15u Babe Ruth team will have a few more days to savor their dramatic walk-off win on Tuesday.  Heavy rains in Quincy, Mass. washed away Stamford's second round game in the New England regional tournament against Cranston, R.I.  The game will be rescheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m.

Stamford defeated Portland, Maine, on Tuesday on a dramatic two-out, two-run double by Jeff Cortese in the bottom of the seventh inning.
