North Stamfords 11-year-old All-Stars defeated Shelton National, 10-2, in the Section 1 tournament Saturday at Chestnut Hill Park. North Stamford improved to 2-1 in the tournament.
North Stamford will face East Haven in a key game Monday. East Haven (2-0) plays Fairfield American, also 2-0, Sunday at Chestnut Hill Park. North Stamford will need to beat East Haven to have any hope of advancing the Section 1 championship game, which is scheduled for Wednesday at Scalzi Park.
