NHL Players To Hold Summer Clinics At Stamford Twin Rinks

STAMFORD, Conn. – Three players from teams in the National Hockey League will be part of summer camps at Stamford Twin Rinks beginning later month.

Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings, Greenwich native Cam Atkinson of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Matt Moulson of the New York Islanders will each run their own camps at the skating rink on Hope Street in Stamford.

NHL players will return to Twin Rinks for the 17th straight year to join the facility’s staff in elite hockey development. Camps runs at Twin Rinks from June through August.

“This is really a unique opportunity for me to come back home and give something back to the kids,’’ Atkinson said.

The camps run under the direction of hockey director Mike Backman and assistant hockey director Marvin Minkler. Parents and players can get more information on the STR Summer camps at the Twin Rinks hockey website or by calling Minkler at 203-968-9000, Ext. 17.
