King Field Hockey Beats St. Luke's

STAMFORD, Conn. — The King field hockey team returned to its home field to defeat rival St Luke's, 5-1.

From the first whistle, the Vikings dominated the gameplay with outstanding execution on both offense and defense. Senior Kaleen Sullivan scored within the first three minutes of the game on an unassisted shot. Katie Keller added a goal shortly afterward off an assist from Kaleen.

The goal scoring continued with contributions from Hannah Van Dolsen, Rose Rather and another from Keller. Colleen Morris and Helen Paglia continued to provide game-changing support in the midfield. St. Luke’s was limited to one goal by standout defensive performances from Grace Billeter, Georgia Orenstein, Val Weiner, Katie Morris and goalkeeper Eloise Hyman.

The win improved King's record to 4-1. Next, the team will travel to the Bronx, N.Y., to face Riverdale Country School on Oct. 13.
