Hot-Shooting King Downs Rye Country Day

STAMFORD, Conn. - The King Low Heywood Thomas boys basketball team continued to flash its shooting ability from the field and the foul line on Wednesday. The Vikings shot nearly 58 percent from the field led by Drew Sawyer and Chris Gaynor as King handed Rye Country Day just its third loss of the season, 64-51.

Sawyer dropped 21 points on Rye while Gaynor was right behind with 20. Guilbert Francois added a double-double for King with 12 points and 14. Mike Reggina was held to nine points, but led King with five assists and also pulled down eight rebounds.

The Vikings continued their season-long consistency at the free throw line, going 11-for-12 as a team in foul shots. Sawyer was a perfect 8-for-8 from the line.

King (6-7, 2-3 conference) returns to action Friday against St. Luke's.
