Chelsea Piers Sponsors Stamford Triathlon Challenge

STAMFORD, Conn. — To support one of Stamford’s biggest annual events, the Stamford KIC IT Triathlon to benefit Kids in Crisis, Chelsea Piers has created a special opportunity:  The first person to raise $25,000 for the July 1 event will win a private party for 10 at the soon-to-be-opened Chelsea Piers Connecticut.

Bragging rights — and $25,000 — gets the fundraiser the opportunity to host a two-hour event at the new Stamford facility, opening July 9. Chelsea Piers will also team the event with a sport-specific expert from its list of competitive athletes. Hosts can choose from ice hockey, swimming, kids aquatic center, squash, gymnastics, tennis, basketball or use of the fieldhouse.

In addition to this exclusive private celebration or team-building opportunity, the event will end with a one-hour catered party.

Fundraisers don’t have to be Stamford KIC IT Triathlon participants to enter. Fundraising registration is available online.

The Stamford KIC IT Triathlon is part of a weekend of fun that showcases the city. On Saturday, June 30, children ages 7 to 13 can participate in the Stamford KIC IT Kids Triathlon at Cove Beach. On July 1, the Olympic distance Stamford KIC IT Triathlon will take over the city with more than 600 athletes, spectators, volunteers and supporters. The event concludes with a Family Festival at the finish line at Columbus Park until noon.

All proceeds go to fund the programs and services provided to families and children throughout Fairfield County by Kids in Crisis.
