STAMFORD, Conn. -- Carpentry Unlimited defated Boot Camp twice in the final week to earn the first half title in the Springdale Little League.
Carpentry won six straight games to finish the first half with a 8-2 record. Boot Camp, which held a share of first from the start of the season until its last game, lost four straight to end the half in a 6-4 tie for second with Clairol, the league’s defending champions, which bounced back from an 0-4 start.
Abercrombie, Burns, McKiernan & Co. Insurance, the only team to defeat Carpentry, tied for third with RMS Construction at 4-6. Instant Replay concluded the half with a 2-8 mark.
