Stamford School Takes an Afternoon Stroll

The students at K.T. Murphy School took a brief break from school Tuesday for a walk down to Cove Island Park. But they weren't playing hookie. The school's teachers and administrators joined them as part of K.T.'s annual Spring Walk-A-Thon.

They all walked down Cove Road to the park, and then made one lap before completing the mile-long loop back to school. Many donned green and white — K.T. Murphy’s colors.

The elementary school holds the annual event as a fundraiser for the school and to promote exercise awareness.
