Stamford Childcare Facility Opens New Location

STAMFORD, Conn. – Mayor Michael Pavia Thursday helped Bright Beginnings open the doors on a new facility.

Founders Rajat and Ridhita Gupta gave the mayor and Bridget Fox, chair of Stamford's School Readiness Council, a tour of the renovated facility on High Ridge Road and its eight classrooms, a press release said. Pavia said the growing city is in need of more places like Bright Beginnings, the release said.

The Guptas started the child-care facility in 2009 out of their home, and were only licensed to care for six children, the website said. The new, bigger facility can hold up to 75 children, the website said.
