The squad received the tip on Thursday that a black woman with long blonde hair would be making a crack and heroin delivery at the Red Carpet Inn at 1209 East Ave., said Capt. Richard Conklin.

Conklin said officers with the squad set-up a surveillance around the motel and about 7 p.m., the suspect, along with three other women, pulled into the motel in a green Honda.

When officers blocked her in and walked toward the car, the woman, identified as Latisha Nelson, 31, held out a bag and said, “Here you go, it's all mine” and passed over the bag filled with drugs to the cops, Conklin said.

Inside the bag filled with rice, officers found 31 baggies containing 22 grams of crack cocaine and 34 folds of heroin weighing 8 grams, Conklin said.

A search during Nelson's arrest turned up $3,925 in cash, which was also seized.

She is being held on $10,000 bond.
